I read his blog regularly (very high pace), and I will defend his knowledge.
As for the substance, well... he always rants because it brings him traffic
and makes him feel better. He rarely praises anything at all, so this review
was not at all surprising (he has had it planned for quite some time).

The bottom line is this: this man is a critic. It's a rant machine. I love
his blog and he write excellent stuff. But assuming that open source is in a
sorry state is a case of falling for flamebait.
