In the long term --- yes. Yesterday's price drop ($50) of the XBox360 is a sign
of Microsoft "dumping" tactic (see
http://blog.businessofsoftware.org/2007/07/cringely-the-un.html ), which means
it will be losing even /more/ money just to regain chances of survival 3-5
years down the line. Always remember how they sabotaged (yes, sabotaged as
planned by _higher management_) Sony's PS3 'overseas parties'. is that
ruthless or what? I sometimes wonder if they smoke Cubans cigars and go out to
the casinos after work. A few days ago, a Microsoft employee rented his
apartment (paorobably for free) to the French president. Shades of mafia
culture and signs that the world as a whole is not much different than Russia.
