I try not to use strong language, but thanks. I agree with what you say and
the purpose of the posts is not only to show that Free Open Source software
is far ahead, but also to show why it hasn't caught on. There is a /huge/
level of corruption in industry and the transparency of the Internet makes a
lot of it visible. One just needs to dig a little. Those who perceive
Windows market share as validity of its value ought to know the /real/
reason why Windows has become so ubiquitous (and will remain widespread for
quite some time).
If you spot mistakes in my post, please please _please_ point this out. I
never post wrong information knowingly or deliberately. Not everything
that's pulled from underground (e.g. quiet cases of fraud) is published in
sites that are peer-reviewed with validated sources (sometimes phonecalls
made to companies). The CNN and Fox News are unlikely to cover something
that upsets the industry which surrounds them. They also seek to please the
readers, but there's a balance there (which includes being cocky to funding
sources). COLA doesn't have the financial factor. I'm not sure about sites
like The Inquirer and Slashdot, which happen to be more upfront.
