It won't last for long. When Microsoft took over NBC they eliminated
RealPlayer options. Remember that Microsoft went into bed with the BBC
/after/ July 2006 and the following has been published shortly afterwards

Beeb breaks out with Windows WMA protection

As another example, when Microsoft liaised with A9 they killed the A9 toolbar
(for Firefox it was the only access to Alexa stats). They eliminated
competition to their own products through deals. When they invaded Novell
they killed some community projects such as Hula. Hula was a threat to
Exchange/Outlook.
