I'm suprised it took them this long :)
When I had a Motorola e815 there were plenty of hacks to use DUN for
free, bypass some of Verizon's checks and balances and so forth.
With a target as big as the iPhone it's a large feather in the hacker
communities cap to hack the thing. When Linux becomes as big of a target
it too will be attacked. It remains to be seen how well Linux will do but
my gut feeling is very good.
