The taxation as it stands might be ruled illegal/unconstitutional in
its implementation. But the taxtation itself isn't unconstitutional.
At one time the top rate was 70%. Thanks to JFK that was lowered. Then
again by Reagan and Bush. It was raised again by Clinton, and I believe
(though I can't recall for sure) by Carter. Even now, it's not
apportioned. Higher earners pay a larger percentage. If they paid the
same percentage as lower income workers then the system could rightly
be called apportioned.

Whether true or not, businesses don't pay taxes. They send money to the
government. Then they pass the cost of the money sent to the government
on to the people they do business with.

I don't trust the words of any Congressman. And one of the reasons the
Supreme Court had to get involved in some of these cases is because the
tax code is such a mess that 10 IRS agents can give you 10 different
readings of your responsibilities on the same day.
> Did you watch Russo's film?
I watched some. Then I skimmed some. I didn't follow it to its end. All
of what I *did* see was a rehash of things others have been saying for
decades.
Some people are getting mighty rich giving people bad advice. Some of
them have gone to jail for it, too, where it's been shown they've been
complicit in getting people to violate the law and ignoring the
requirement to file tax returns.
Here's a guy who ran for president from prison, where he was residing
for income tax evasion:
