>> BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Research 2.0, a research firm that specializes in
> the analysis of emerging software technology for the investment and
> business communities, today revealed findings from its May Technology
> Monthly report focused on Microsoft technologies such as Silverlight
> and .NET and their potential to dominate future enterprise application
> development.
>> The report also covers findings on the SOA adoption progress in various
> industries and predicts that SOA will become a mainstream technology by
> 2015 with significant SOA packaged revenue occurring within the next
> decade.
There are many other firms (who is Research 2.0 affiliated with and who funds
it?) that would argue that Google/Salesforce, for example, are set to
dominate. Based on various studies, it is Linux and open source technologies
that gain attraction, not .NET. What's more, with increqasing diversity (eve
Apple gains market share), Silverlight remains out of the question (can't
create content outside Windows).
