Some people disagree because SUSE is not Novell (SLED can be forked).
Watching (or 'policing') Novell like this prevents it from making things much
worse with patents and more recently the criticism had them modify the
OpenSUSE EULA. We're just one blog among several that routinely protest
against the software patent covenant.
BTW, anyone who helps just happens to have similar understanding and ideas to
contribute. This is not in any way 'organised' (the same as Groklaw pretty
much). In fact, that site was created by Shane. He later invited me to
contribute because he didn't have the time. Lots of people subscribed because
they /did/ find it interesting, and that's why the site still runs. Most of
the time it analsyses Microsoft's attacks on FOSS.
