Ballmer's 'precious' SEC filings have had Linux listed explicitly as of the
very top threats for about a decade. Indeed, over the years Linux forced
Microsoft to reduce its prices and Microsoft is approaching the end of its
life in several areas. Microsoft did not survive Linux per se. It adapted at
the expense of its /OWN HEALTH/ in order to remain relevant. From what I can
tell, Microsoft is operating at a loss and it gets worse all the time.
