They /need/ to care. If machines don't sell that gives OEMs much less
reason to play the quantity game the next time. If it happens 2 or 3
times in a row, I suspect there will be more Acers giving MS the finger
rather than swallow the loss as hardware price margins continue to
fall.
But I hope Sweaty Fester is too busy tossing furniture to realize
what's going on in the rest of the world. Once it's all busted up and
he pauses long enough to notice the unsold boxes of Wincrap piling up
behind him, it will be much too late to start thinking of any strategy
other than attempting to keep himself from becoming somebody's girl
friend in the big house.
