Looks like Linux is expanded from servicing the server and embeddeded market
to the pre-loaded OS markets.
The electronics high street market would not exist if it were not for Linux.
Some 3 million+ embedded Linux gadgets PER day - some 270 billions dollars
per year.
If it has Linux it sells (TM). But do the retailers and product
development managers really understand that message well enough to expand
their business properly without creating holes in their management
approach and losing out through missed opportunities?
Retailers and product development managers
should be clamouring to order more Linux gadgets and investing in
companies to demand more products to be made that incorporate Linux
and expand it with new gadgets and their own creative ideas.
After all, it is making them billions alrady even if they didn't know
that Linux is directly powering their profit margins.
