There are plenty of titles that are available across multiple
platforms. The Wii is not just limited to the sorts of games that
are only possible due to the Wiimote.
The fact is that a Wii enables a new class of games while also
being able to handle the same sorts of games that the other consoles
do. It's a better mousetrap. It's not something completely different.
Microsoft wants to hide the idea that someone else built a better
mousetrap as Microsoft's competitors have always done.
The Wii also effectively comes with a built in wireless mouse.
So that also opens up the possibility for cannabalising the market
of mouse-centric PC games.
So the Wii is an assault on Windows as well as the Xbox.
