Verily I say unto thee, that Tony(UK) spake thusly:

Blah, blah, blah.

Yes, as an individual you have a right to make any choices you want, and
you certainly don't need to justify them to totalitarian "unification"
propagandists like Quack.

In fact it doesn't matter what Quack thinks about anything. His opinions
are completely irrelevant.

Practically /none/ of the type of people who use Ubuntu (noobs) are in
any position to "help" much, so this is a rather moot point from Quack.
Indeed, the fact that there /are/ other distros out there, helps to
mitigate these issues by providing alternatives to see people through,
while Ubuntu's issues are worked out /by Canonical/, and the maintainers
in the Ubuntu community who do actually have the means to help.

It won't put Turks off. Should they not be entitled to their own distro?

This is yet another good reason for having many distros. Although they
may all offer multiple languages for both the interface and the
documentation, which are selectable post-install, having something
tailored specifically for one's country, language, culture, interest,
politics, religion, etc., with languages, themes, and even
distro-specific tools, is a very nice thing. So why not? Good for them.

This is the power of Free Software. It doesn't /belong/ to Red Hat, or
Novell, or Canonical, or Mandriva. It belongs to /you/, for /you/ to do
whatever you want with it. And it certainly isn't for fascist dictators
like Quack to tell you otherwise.
