I've *never* had it happen with mutt. I don't know why kmail crashes
when deleting or moving mail from IMAP boxes, but it is the main reason
I dumped kmail for mutt. My wife still uses kmail and reports a kmail
crash every now and then. This problem has shown up right through the
3.x.x series. Maybe it has been addressed in the kmail 4.x .
