Why not switch to Reiser file system?
Word is that Reiser is real killer.....
Well, since TomTom don't trust it's users or protect the maps inside
their devices, they have the stupid idea to only allow download of
maps using a special software only avail for windows and mac, they
have not many options, at least not reiser.
ETX2 works very well on windows, but I don't know if mac has anything for it.
They have to come up with something else that work for both mac and windows,
even if they must write their own, or maybe bluetooth/usb connection only.
They think that a system where you can buy the maps and download them in a
browser and copy to the memory card will result in one sold copy shared
by 5 millions All-in-one units, so they go the hand cuffs way.
So bad that they piss on them who take their side in this patent problem.
