Puppy Linux 4.3 -Linux 2u

,----[ Quote ]
| It is best for low end computers and perfect for netbooks
| and sure it is best than windows 98. Now I can say it is a
| perfect windows killer.

My Love/Hate Relationship

,----[ Quote ]
| If you haven't tried Gentoo, I really do suggest giving it
| a whirl. It's time-consuming, but I had always found the
| end product to be very worthwhile.

Puppy Linux 4.3

| Price: Free
| Pros: Small, light-weight, fast distro. Comes with a
| great range of apps and only weighs in at about 100MB when
| you download it.
| Cons: Ugly, dated configuration screens.
| Suitable For: Anybody who needs a lightweight,
| portable version of Linux particularly for emergencies.
| Summary: Puppy Linux fits the bill nicely for those who
| need a portable Linux to tote around with them and who
| want a full range of bundled applications without the
| bloat of a full desktop distro.
| Rating: 3.5/5

Time for a New Puppy: Puppy Linux 4.3

,----[ Quote ]
| Mac OS X Snow Leopard? Windows 7? Forget it. The coolest OS
| release of the year is Puppy Linux 4.3. By now you already
| know that I have a soft spot for Puppy Linux, so for me
| each new release of this nifty little distro is a cause for
| a minor celebration. And the freshly-baked Puppy Linux 4.3
| is no exception. In fact, the previous 4.2 release left me
| somewhat unimpressed, so I've had especially high hopes for
| the 4.3 version coordinated by Barry Kauler himself. Let me
| tell you straight away -- I wasn't disappointed.

Puppy Linux 4.3 Has Been Redesigned from the Roots

,----[ Quote ]
| Barry Kauler is back at the helm of the Puppy Linux project,
| and he just released version 4.3 of the popular lightweight
| Linux distribution. Puppy Linux 4.3 is a massive upgrade from
| the 4.2 series, with almost all the components updated or
| replaced. Also, the whole system through which this Linux
| distribution is being built has been replaced with a completely
| new one, called Woof. The switch imposed the creation of a new
| package management system, called Puppy Package Manager, which
| supports the use of packages from any distribution within
| Puppy.

New version of Puppy Linux mini system

,----[ Quote ]
| Version 4.3 of the lean Puppy Linux distribution is now available
| to download. At a size of just about 110 Mbytes, the system with
| its JWM and IceWM window managers offers up to date applications
| and includes many new features. Puppy Linux 4.3 now uses with
| kernel version which includes ext4 filesystem support.

Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux)
