Dogpile claim to be doing the same thing. The results are bad and it is slow
(much like trying travel agents who contact airline separately,
simultaneously and then merge). Getting results from better search engines,
worse search engines and then combining them will not produce better
overall results. Let us say you took the US top 10 pop chart, the UK top 10
chart and the Canadian top 10 chart. Since there are parallels among them
and different charts suit different demography, mixing them all together
will not give you a chart that for an American let us say, is better than
the US chart. It will possibly include plenty of foreign music that he/she
does not care for.
