virtualisation on Windows took precedent over its OSS counterparts. Much

I can see how this might frustrate a Linux user. However, recall that
nobody is *entitled* to open source software; rather the state of the
software is the direct result of the generosity in time and effort of its
contributors. If the majority of contributers happen to be Windows users, it
shouldn't be surprising that most of the effort is directed to the Windows
version of the software, as many contributers are contributing by scratching
their own itches.
