it's just a way for rogers to cut services while raising prices. they said
there would be no compensation because it was always listed as a 'free
service'. when i asked them where they itemized it, they said that info
wasn't on the client's invoice, so i'd just have to trust them. when i asked
them exactly what it is i pay for every month, they said 'high speed
internet'. when i asked what the internet was, they said 'www', which is
total crap

took a look. it seems this only hosts gmane groups. looks like it lacks the
diversity of other nntp servers, but a free and stable nntp server is a good
resource. tks
