In my case, I have 4 wallpapers. They are 4500 pixel-wide each and cover 8
virtual desktops, each of which is a dual-head unit. Why can't XP handle
that?

Question is still not answered.

And you didn't answer my question. First you whine about background setting with FireFox under 'Linux'. Then you say Linux is super. Make up your mind.

Is anyone able to right click on an image in Firefox (in Linux) and get it to set the wallpaper?

Yes. In Gnome. Actually, I was in KDE when I did it. When I switched to Gnome, the background had been set.

I can't.

Yes. we know.
