Actually, the N770 is, in vanilla form, perfectly usable. The browser
works just fine, and the real-player and mp3 players are fine too, so
for most people's day to day usage, it does what it says on the tin.
Adding things like gnumeric make reading & writing spreadsheets easy,
and the pdf viewer built-in is excellent. Of course the N770
distribution is ever growing, so there's a very wide range of add-on
stuff, but as I say, the basic vanilla setup is good. Latest firmware
(which is what you'd get now if you bought one) has the gizmo voip
client, too.
