More likely because they know a lot about business. Fundamental
principals of business apply whether you sell software, paper-clips or
jet engines. Take IBM's former CEO Louis Gerstner for example. His
background was at Nabisco where they sold snacks and crackers. He
didn't know much about computers but he sure understands business.
