Re: Do I See An MS Stock Crash Coming Soon? I Think I Do.

Well, it's one thing to guess something is going to happen;
something else (and more work, maybe) to guess it *for
reasons.* I think Microsoft is outgoing, and when it goes,
it's going to make a mess as all its entanglements into
society as a whole begin to putrefy. To see why I guess
this, imagine a chart with a rising curve and a falling curve
which intersect somewhere.

The rising curve is public experience and knowhow about
computers. When Microsoft came in, you could sell just
about anything if you threw in some stuff that looked like
handholding and advice from On High to the buyer that
the purchase was wise and the purchased material saved
a lot of effort and tribulation. Today, that's not so effective
a message.

The falling curve is public need for *yet more* of that
stuff and of software generally: the struggle to append
yet more complexification has maxed out and it has
nowhere to go except *utility.* Which Linux does *much*
better than Microsoft ever will. That is because
Microsoft set out from the start to be different from
prevailing practice, and so had to invent lots of "tools,"
a losing game over the long run.

Finally, this happens in a Republican faith-based
economic background, and as the cost of their wars
reaches into the economy, the economy degrades.
I heard the R-word in the news last night: *recession,*
and I expect we get to hear it -- much more.

Thus I expect the deficient qualities of their products
in an increasingly stressed economy, deflates
Microsoft. However, I think the process will be
difficult for all of us. I think their patent troll option is
very serious; we can look for assorted FUD and PR
maneuvers. With what is it, $50 billion in reserves,
Microsoft can have a *lot* of strings to their bow.
So a crash will come; but when it does, it will be
interesting times indeed.

Google Bill Parish and get some hard financial facts regarding the
unsustainability of the great pyramid fraud that is microsoft.

It's true that it got so big that it can feed on its own tail for some
time. But when the public confidence fades....

And then get on the horn and dump your microsoft stock before the crash.

Ain't a matter of *if* it will crash. It's a matter of *when* and *how
hard.*

Linux is grabbing too many zones too fast for microsoft to inject their
bloated infesto-code into anything much at all.

Oh sure, Gates might write a nice drug traffic scheduling program, and
Ballmore might get ito rubber padded chair design or stage repair.
Appropriate.

Patience Penguins, the Redmond Monkey Farm done run outta banannas.

With Linux around, microsoft is a waste of time and money.
