My personal take? That Roy should cool off on some of the boycott this,
boycott that stuff, and be more accurate in his posts. But I see no reason
to think it justified for anyone to attack him in the way he has been
attacked by some of the scum in COLA.

Agreed. Although, that said, I think this can also be applied to the way
Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer et al are spoken of here at times. It's all
very well making stupid remarks about 'Monkey-Boy' and so forth, but it
really does more to demean the poster than the object of the post. A bit
less of that all round might be beneficial. God knows I sling the insults
as well as anyone at certain posters here, but I could just as happily
stop if they would be less offensive in their anti-Linux stance.

And it's perhaps no wonder that Roy is a mite paranoid when certain
cowardly types post filthy innuendos about his sexuality.

Likewise. Slanging matches are fun for a while, but eventually they do
obscure the real purpose of this group, which is to advocate Linux as much
as possible.
