I quite agree.  It makes no sense to spend a lifetime chasing publicity
of any and all kinds, then complain when it's not under your direct
control.

Illegitimate copies of material shouldn't be there, of course, but it
should stop at that point.

I also note that fan recordings of concerts made on mobiles and such
like seem most unlikely to unseat real sales...
