Nvidia does have a reasonable installer. The only thing I wish it did was
actually show all the build steps it is doing as it progressed.
Ooops. I found it: /var/log/nvidia-installer.log
Hmmm, looks like the installer has a lot of options I'd not noticed.
The code generates more warnings than I like to see in production code.

What ever happened to the good old days when you could buy a PC adapter card
and get a little booklet detailing how to program it?
