Mr. Green

Behaving unlike most birds

HEY, yo! Mr. Green!

Well, Mr. Green or just “Green” is a new name for the green-eyed bird, which came here sick and damaged almost a month ago.

We’ve since then brought Mr. Green into a better but not yet optimal shape. Mr. Green is very thin, the legs seem a bit frail, and one eye is partly shut (it was probably injured by another bird and a green hue remains). Judging by feather and other factors, however, it made a miraculous recovery.

Mr. Green is not even remotely afraid of me. I have the opposite problem. Mr. Green wants to jump on my hands and stay there. If I push it away, Mr. Green will jump on the other hand. With a door open, Mr. Green will try to walk to my feet like a cat, even if I say “no” and push back.

Maybe it’s better to accept this is my pet and adopt it like a parrot, then wash up afterwards.

The joke that goes around is, Mr. Green reckons we saved his life.

Durian has a similar attachment, but it’s nowhere as intense.
