HE following chart from BBC makes it seems like the cheating by ManCity was akin to what slop companies do. They fake revenue (some circular) to make financially unsustainable (not even remotely viable) seem promising:

We are accelerating the causes of climate change

s expected, tonight it’s about 20 degrees outside, feels like some sort of subtropical summer at nighttime. It’s hard to complain, as it feels pleasant, but at the same time it is atypical and another glaring sign of climate change.

Lately I’ve seen way too many slop boosters (basically cheering for a large contributor to climate change) and nearly no press coverage at all regarding climate change.

The Web is crooked, the media seems dead, and nowadays I scroll very fast past sites and headlines, seeing lots of them are junk and chaff, not news.

We should speak about climate change as much as we speak of Russia.

Good news

oday we have a productive day.

Some years ago in IRC someone called me “badass” (I took that as a compliment) for how I had been covering abuse and corruption in the technical world. Today I published this long article about the EPO and there’s more to come. The EPO’s reply? Nothing, nada, zilch.

They refuse to respond to any queries. They’re secretive and corrupt.

Aside from that, we got good health news today (sorry if slow to publish blog posts so far today!) and I’ve made someone a card, will do articles soonish.

I think this day is a memorable one in a positive way.

his week we predicted that Reform UK would kick into action to protect its very existence. Indeed, today it seems evident they’re hired a law firm to help them navigate things. Now they shell out some big money to preserve their very existence.

A pair of young ones

oday the baby birds are sleeping a lot. They hang around and fall asleep (eyes shut) in numerous places, waiting for the next meal.

The other night we caught them sleeping and staying overnight at the windows. We don’t mind. They need safety and this place is quite safe for them (unlike construction sites).

The baby birds (two of them) don’t have names yet. If they stick around long enough, they probably will need names (it makes communications about them easier).

We have a problem

eptember ends tomorrow and today it’s mild. It’ll be 20 or 21 degrees at night (tomorrow) and 23 degrees today (daytime).

This is not how it used to be. September can still be warm, but we’re now at the end of September.

The media treats climate change like it’s old news or some boring topic.

his week Reform UK may have difficult questions to answer because a techie in the UK (like us) identified financial problems in Reform UK, which is basically a company disguised as a political party. If persistence in the face of antagonism pays off, maybe we’ll soon see headlines about Reform UK trying to argue why it should continue to exist at all.
