One Joke for Easter

Laughing egg

A funny support enquiry from Samsung Electronics:

Caller: “Can you give me the telephone number for Jack?”
Operator: “I’m sorry, sir, I don’t understand who you are talking about”.
Caller: “On page 1, section 5, of the user guide it clearly states that I need to unplug the fax machine from the AC wall socket and telephone Jack before cleaning. Now, can you give me the number for Jack?”
Operator: “I think you mean the telephone point on the wall”.

Funny Job Advert

It is amusing (with mixed feelings of sympathy) to see job ads from small IT companies. Here is a snippet from one of them:

…Right now our focus is on less experienced, thus less expensive people…

…We do not have an office so there is almost no social life here…

Almost?!?! Will you meet your colleagues on the sidewalk?

Brought to my attention by Dr. Scott Tobkes.

Nerd Test

A test that I found on Dvorak Uncensored scores multiple-choice questions and determines your level of geekiness. Have a go at the Nerd test. I got 89 myself.

Human Descent

The site Human Descent is a must-see to anyone who cares for graphics. Below lies a relatively unimpressive image found among the many stunning ones.

Funny Signs

Many pictures in these pages come from stock.xchng. It is a world-wide openly-shared resource of personal photos. I have collected imagery of amusing real-world signs as found below.

But can the dog read English?

Dog sign

Maybe that’s a little easier for dogs to comprehend

Shall I come in or not?

Honey, I think we’d better turn left here

A “Lazy Boy”

A gadget fair has opened in Las Vegas and the following picture from the BBC caught my eyes:

Game seat
BBC News

The chair also lets people experience surround sound while watching videos, with wireless control for six surround sound speakers. And a drinks holder.

Drinks holder?!?! Has humanity not gone spoiled enough yet? What’s next? A built-in toilet?
