Three Goals, Three Days

Foden scored four goals in a few days

City 5-1 AEK Athens: Two-minute highlights

SO Foden will make the morning’s headlines (also two assists by Lewis) and this short video summary shows a solid win despite my worries (about benching great players).

I heard a couple of these goals (third and fourth for City) when night-jogging around the stadium.

ManCity will soon play Brighton and Hove Albion at home, twice in 3 days. Brighton has been in good form (many goals), so this won’t be easy.

Police Lines

A sign of trouble or some major incident having occurred nearby

If people in authority, such as the police, cordon off a building or area, they put something around it in order to stop people from entering it

Today, about an 80-meter distance (modest radius) from our doorstep, an entire home was cordoned off with police line (ribbons) and one police van or sedan. Both were there early in the morning and also around noontime.

We don’t know what happened and in my experience it’s impossible to know by checking the Web site of the police or even social control media ‘gossip’. All those things remain a mystery and are forgotten about a day later.

I wish we could more easily access information about crimes that happen around us. The Cost of Living crisis may have contributed to more violence; my gut feeling tells me someone got murdered in that home and they collect evidence such as fingerprints.

Crime-related transparency is something I wish was better everywhere. Sometimes you learn something by talking to a nosy neighbour.

Underestimating One’s Opponent, ‘Pep Style’

Risky approach

AEK Athens match

THE latest (or next) Champions League match is just an hour away. The lineup is like Pep with his bizarre “Experiments” in “Lesser Important” matches. Enzo puts forth NOT his very best: Donnarumma, Lewis, Khusanov, Dias (C), Gvardiol, Anderson, Fernández, Allan, Cherki, Foden, Samba.

Left ‘benched’: Guéhi, Haaland, and Doku.

What sort of coach leaves Haaland on the bench for a Champions League match? Haaland scores almost half of City’s goals this season.

If City wins, the press will hail Enzo’s “courage”.

If City does not win, Enzo will have all the excuses in the world.

Fish Transition Period

Planting season is done, now we just water the plants and look after our animals

Then a strange creature appeared with a head of man and a body of a fish

Today it was time to clean the filter in my tank and belatedly refresh things. I found some dead shells, I think it might be related to parasites/germs rather than temperature (the temperature of the water isn’t low, it’s about 20 degrees) and the fish seem happy.

3 days ago it was 5 months since I set up a tank near me, splitting off or separating the shells from Rianne’s tank, which is for the tropical species.

Rianne’s tank has since then (again) begun to become a ‘breeding ground’ for more shells.

MOAR SHELLS, OMG!

That’s fine, as I can pass them all over to mine when winter is over.

Last week I brought the tank closer to my keyboard and installed better lighting/bulb for it (the ultraviolet one had died after years of persistent use).

I’m taking it “easy” this month as we transition into “proper” autumn and weather has worsened. I still managed to sunbathe almost 10 times so far this month. Sunlight in moderation is healthy.

Colder, darker days ahead until 2 months from now (December 20/21).

Nigel Farage’s Racist Company (Disguised as Political Party) That’s Secretly Funded by American Oligarchs Spent $49,300 to Not Go Bankrupt

Will the same American oligarchs step in the foot the bill? Will 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square pocket American oligarchs’ illegal money?

Farage Challenger Faces £37,000 Bill After Losing Court Case

This afternoon (earlier today) I criticised British media for an inexcusable lack of coverage regarding a “Potential Reform UK Party Limited Insolvency (CR-2026-007405)”. I said this “Illuminates the Sordid State of British Media”.

5 hours ago American (not British) media wrote about this. It looks like Farage spent 200 times more money than the man he had robbed (among all British taxpayers, whom he had also robbed for a personal PR spectacle).

Quoting the billionaire’s news site (US, where billionaires fund the racist part of Farage illegally): “Daniel Pocock, who stood as an independent candidate against Reform leader Nigel Farage in the Clacton-on-Sea by-election in August, said Reform owed him £5,009.21 to cover costs incurred while campaigning. He argued that Farage’s offer to cover the costs of organizing the contest also obliged the party to pay candidates’ expenses.”

It was not about the evidence but about who spent more money on the process.

In the UK you can be a fanatical racist scammer and still ‘win’ cases provided some people in America illegally funnel money to you.

Did the folks of 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square manage to not fall asleep in Court today (for a change)?

What is the position of 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square on racism?

What is the position of 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square on corruption?

Quoting from the paywall-free copy:

Neither Pocock nor any representative attended court on Monday. In an emailed statement to Bloomberg after the judgment was delivered, Pocock — a software developer born in Australia — appeared to imply that he would not pay Reform’s legal costs as ordered.

“After the sight of masked men at British ports and a sacked former home secretary using social media to vilify volunteer lifeboat crews, I don’t feel any Australian could give money to Reform UK without violating Australian laws that prohibit Australian citizens from resourcing insurrections abroad,” he said, referring to controversial anti-immigration protests organised by right-wing groups in the UK over the last several months.

Automatic conversion (flawed English) from a site in Dutch:

Pocock, a software developer originally from Australia, took on Nigel Farage in August at the midterm election in Clacton-on-Sea. He argued that the party owed him £5.009.21 for campaign costs incurred and argued that Farage’s public offer to reimburse costs also applied to individual candidates.

Because Reform UK did not respond, Pocock filed a dissolution request. He pointed to uncertainty surrounding recent donations linked to new rules for foreign donors and suggested the party could get questions about its solvency.

AEK Athens Tomorrow

Tomorrow night

AEK Athens

The flags bearing the word/s “RESPECT” are up and some broadcasting trucks are nearby (we ran past them today), probably in preparation for tomorrow’s match.

The Greek club is no PSG, so hopefully an easy 3 points for the locals. Too easy or too early to guess?

The Potential Reform UK Party Limited Insolvency (CR-2026-007405) Illuminates the Sordid State of British Media

A decision was consciously made not to mention this

CR-2026-007405, Reform UK Party Limited, Last case activity: 19 Oct 2026

This morning or afternoon it seems like a trial (or hearing) was meant to take place, wherein the High Court would be discussing lies told by Farage’s paid spinners, trying to tackle this ‘debacle’, which is an understatement (a sort of fake election or political spectacle organised for and by a Fake Political Party – or foreign-owned business disguised as British political party – at the expense of taxpayers).

Based on Court submissions, Farage is spending well over 20,000 pounds on this, whereas the applicant (or petitioner) spent about 200 pounds and many hours. That means Farage spends about 100 times more money than the person whom he robbed (and who now tries to hold him accountable for this robbery).

Farage enjoy media silence (complicity). Why does the mainstream media write so many mindless puff pieces about a man who wears a trash can on his head? While turning a blind eye to the High Court of the country?

What does this teach us about the state of the press?

How much money spent by people whose constituents compare black politicians to monkeys? And does it matter that this money comes from oligarchs in America?
