It matters a lot

his coming December I’ll turn 45. I’ve been writing a lot since I was a teenager and I still try to improve. It’s not about grammar, it’s about structuring one’s explanation/s, making the key points easy to identity and clear to everyone (even without any prior knowledge). I was recently receiving some constructive criticism of my latest series. I’ve tried to internalise it.

In my writings about Garrett, for instance, someone asked, “is his connection restricted boot briefly summarized there too?” As “leaving it out allows him to raise lynch mobs among the a-holes in ‘fediverse’ [and] there are many ways to do that, some more formal some less formal…”

Another remark was, “is his connection restricted boot briefly summarized there also?”

I’ve decided to remind people of the Big Picture. Days later I was told this was “nice” and “just, please, please, remember to add a sentence about restricted boot to each and every post which names him” (as it’s about his actions).

The reader said, “that is so *very* important for when that post happens to be the first Techrights post a visitor reads,” for we have had many first-time visitors lately (accordingly more people in IRC as well).

“It’s also *very* important to establish the connection between him and it, and to reinforce that the debate is about computing freedom and not a personal spat even though MULTIPLE sides seem to sometimes work to make it look like a personal spat [...] tldr; keep the eye on the ball…”

It can be tiring to add an intro or background of full context to every article or installment (in a series), but I recognise it’s necessary for effective communication.

With Co-op Live and then the hotels, the Etihad Stadium has been like a construction site since COVID-19 began 7 years ago

esyerday we fed about 80 birds (maybe more) when there were sunny spells. We saw several more lodged under a bridge (at ManCity stadium) on the way back, but we had run out of food at that point. It looks like the ManCity stadium (or Etihad Stadium) is nearly finished with the construction work. Some bits and niggles will need adjusting and polishing off, but no construction equipment is visible anymore (none in sight to a visitor).

Many fans from Paris will probably flock here this week, ahead of the match on Wednesday night. PSG fans are notoriously violent these days (ask Hungary).

he big win at Anfield (0-3) is a good “ramp” or ‘warm-up’ ahead of a home match against a very potent PSG. Can PSG break the winning streak of Enzo?

What I find very useful about PSG is a demonstration of “double-standards”.

With all the accusations against ManCity (and now the Prime Minister, formerly a Manchester Mayor), how about spendings by PSG?

he latest blog post from Daniel Pocock (Saturday) shows Reform UK making contradictory statements (lies). It either lied to the media or to the Court (or both).

At this point there’s a risk of contempt of court. Will Reform UK go “out of business” and return under another shell/name?

Some precedents exist

his past summer I spent some time searching for related caselaw at the Court of Appeal (higher than the High Court), as noted in the official site. I found several relevant cases (precedents) and added them to my lawsuit against Graveley [1, 2]. I now need to wait. Maybe progress will be made next year.

At this point it’s advised not to share pertinent details. They will come out later. Maybe next year.

Graveley has since then lost his job.

Focus on the game/s

HE BBC is still preceding everything it says with court news, not the match. But this ~10-minute video summary (“highlights”) shows a football club that plays well and gave Liverpool a hurtful 0-3 defeat in Anfield.

Wait until the appeal is done.
