Second Interview with Google

Googleplex in London

LAST night I had my 2nd interview with google (a *nix systems administration position). What is noteowrthy is that I did not apply for a job. I was contacted by Google owing to my involvement and work on the Web. I am patiently waiting to hear their decision (should take several days), but I am pessimistic. Some questions were really hard and I needed hints. These questions were less analytical than I had expected.

Best of luck to you brother. If anyone deserves the position it’s you.

Thanks, Jason. I think the questions exposed my technical weaknesses though. I’m not holding my breath.

Thanks for that. I don’t really have intentions to stop posting. As it seems at the moment, I am likely to continue until August 2007, if not beyond.

    Best wishes!

Hey, congratulations on even getting an interview with Google and best of luck! I know you would make a great “addition” to Google, and if they don’t hire you, I’m thinking it is their loss, not yours. I greatly enjoy reading your blog, and you always submit the best stories on digg.com! Keep up the great work, I am rooting for you!

  6. Roy Schestowitz Says:

Hey, linnerd40. Nice Open Source blog you got there! I’ll syndicate. *smile*

Hey guys! I’ve got a second interview with Google where they do the “toss the code at you and program on the fly” via IM.
Has anyone else gone thru this process and what tips do you have?
    thanks!
