Durian and Peanut

Already loved

Durian Fruit

Today we gave names to the two baby birds that hang around here, sometimes overnight. Rianne has called the brown one “durian” and the grey one “peanut”. It’s looking like they’re here to stay and I can babysit them just to make sure no cat tries to ambush/hunt them.

Technology and Science Lose Ground to Charlatans

Palace of Culture and Science

Palace of Culture and Science Pa?ac Kultury i Nauki Warsaw Poland Public Domain

The richest people who control “Science and Technology” are usually not techs. Technology does not matter to them. They have no background in science. They do have a religion though. This religion is called “Money” and the money they want (paper bills) says “In God We Trust” (or something to that effect).

Unless society rectifies this, imbalanced goals and objectives will supersede common sense, ruining people’ physical and mental health while destroying the environment.

Because “In God We Trust”.

Sleeping Birds (at the Home)

Second time in a week

Back in March, for the first time, we noticed a bird staying at the window all night long (until daytime). Sometimes we wonder if it’ll happen again.

Something similar is happening several times this week, as baby birds either sleep at the windows or the higher slope, in effect staying here overnight. I think it’s generally safe, but it is also unusual and a generally bad habit. The darkness is a risk to them and they don’t have the advantage of collective vigilance (like adults alerting them in the face of nearby danger).

At the moment the aim is to help the small birds grow ahead of a cold winter.

How Manchester City (ManCity) Cheated, It’s a Lot Like the Slop Companies Trillions of Dollars in Secret Debt

The make-up of fake accounting

THE following chart from BBC makes it seems like the cheating by ManCity was akin to what slop companies do. They fake revenue (some circular) to make financially unsustainable (not even remotely viable) seem promising:

ManCityaccounting

What a time to bring this out. ManCity is at the top of PL, having won many games in a row.

Climate Change and Slop (or People Who Actively Finish Off the Planet)

We are accelerating the causes of climate change

As expected, tonight it’s about 20 degrees outside, feels like some sort of subtropical summer at nighttime. It’s hard to complain, as it feels pleasant, but at the same time it is atypical and another glaring sign of climate change.

Lately I’ve seen way too many slop boosters (basically cheering for a large contributor to climate change) and nearly no press coverage at all regarding climate change.

The Web is crooked, the media seems dead, and nowadays I scroll very fast past sites and headlines, seeing lots of them are junk and chaff, not news.

We should speak about climate change as much as we speak of Russia.

Going Strong

Good news

Yarrow blossom

Today we have a productive day.

Some years ago in IRC someone called me “badass” (I took that as a compliment) for how I had been covering abuse and corruption in the technical world. Today I published this long article about the EPO and there’s more to come. The EPO’s reply? Nothing, nada, zilch.

They refuse to respond to any queries. They’re secretive and corrupt.

Aside from that, we got good health news today (sorry if slow to publish blog posts so far today!) and I’ve made someone a card, will do articles soonish.

I think this day is a memorable one in a positive way.

Reform UK Asks Aston Bond for Help (to Avoid Being Canceled)

This is potent

Aston Bond

This week we predicted that Reform UK would kick into action to protect its very existence. Indeed, today it seems evident they’re hired a law firm to help them navigate things. Now they shell out some big money to preserve their very existence.
